Sebastian Vettel Is One Cool F1 Driver
Germany’s Sebastian Vettel has won the past three Formula One titles, and has established a level of coolness off the track. At 25, he already holds records for youngest points scorer, youngest race leader, youngest pole sitter, youngest race winner, and the youngest to win one, then two, then three championships. As a kid he idolized “The Three Michaels:” Schumacher, Jordan, and Jackson. He loves British comedy like Monty Python, and is a huge Beatles fan. And he’s his own manager: when it’s time to talk money, he does it himself.
So how do you live up to that level of cool? By wearing a helmet in the Grand Prix of Monaco that not only salutes the rich history of the “Grandest Grand Prix,” but has a pin-up girl on the back. A pin-up girl that not only is in a revealing nighty, but is painted in temperature-sensitive paint, which means when it gets hot the nighty disappears.
Which should be fun for NBC, who’s planning to broadcast the race live on the main network Sunday morning. Read more at Jalopnik.

Get ready for the birth of a dynasty with the deepest pockets in the history of the sport. Mercedes are focused and will do whatever it takes to win championships. They appear to have a distinct advantage with the development of the 2014 car and all the new FIA changes. Both Mercedes and F1 are banking on Hamilton's success to extend his marketability in expanding the demographic of F1, particularly in the U.S. Five years from now everyone will view Mercedes as a beast. Believe me, if Hamilton regains the success he had early in his career, true fans of the sport will be praying for Vettle to rescue it from Hamilton's ego and all the baggage that comes with it. Vettle is young and immature, but his true passion is racing while Hamilton's true passion is Hamilton. It all begins tomorrow morning in qualifying. The tyres will not be an issue forever.
I have a similar thing in my car. When the heat goes up my shirt comes off, but that is just beacuse my AC is busted.
I would say that since it is on the back of his helmet it gives Hamilton something to look at, but both Mercedes look awfully quick this weekend. I have a feeling their race pace will be much better than in previous races.
@Plastic Thoughts They're always quick in practice. They just can't keep the tires on their car during the race
@Plastic Thoughts They'll lead for 3-5 laps then succumb to Alonso.
@TroutBandit Why? Because he's the best F1 driver out there right now?
@ecupirate The best ones always are...Senna, Schumacher, ect
@ecupirate His car has made him look much better than his driving skills have the last 3 years.
Don't worry, he has plenty of time to mature and continue to get better. I personally wish he would embrace the role of the Hamilton and Alonso fans have bestowed upon him.
