Montreal Just For Laughs: Wyatt Cenac Is No Freedom Fighter, Just a Furry Dumb Fighter

You probably recognize Wyatt Cenac from The Daily Show. Most people do. He was a standout correspondent on the show from 2008-2012, earning 2 Emmys and a WGA award along the way. But Wyatt is also an accomplished stand-up comedian, whose tone and subject matter certainly helped him land the gig, but go well beyond fake news stories pointing out the hilarious hypocrisy of political candidates or the actual news. The full spectrum of Cenac will be on display this week at the Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal, as he performs a solo show called Furry Dumb Fighter at Cafe Cleopatra July 20-14.

High Plains Comedy Festival Releases Full Schedule

The High Plains Comedy Festival announced today its final wave of performers and released the full Festival schedule. The new announcement includes the addition of 40 Denver-based comedians a special appearance by Ron Funches, who will be in town at Comedy Works recording his next album plus LA comedians Josh Androsky and Justine Marino. Along with previously announced Denver sons The Grawlix, comedians Troy Walker, Kristin Rand, Chris Charpentier, Haley Driscoll and Jim Hickox will all be making the trip to perform to their “hometown” audiences.

Heavy Hitters Pack Dr. Katz Live at Moontower as Maron, Pepitone, Phillips, Irrera and Barry Get on the Couch

Dr Katz Live at Moontower Comedy Festival was equally cool, bringing the therapy session segments - part improv game, part late night talk show appearance, part actual therapy - to Austin, minus the Squigglevision. It was also an easy way to catch a bunch of heavy hitters all on one show.

Moontower Preview! Hasan Minhaj Talks About Jon Stewart and Trevor Noah

Last year Hasan Minhaj was great at Moontower Comedy Festival but this year he's coming back as a Daily Show Correspondent. Minhaj got his gig with the show this December, at the same time as Trevor Noah was hired. Now just 5 months into his time with the show, Hasan created memorable pieces, and learned so much. He's also going to be on board for the changing of the guard, as Stewart says goodbye to the show and Trevor Noah takes over as the new host. Moontower Comedy Festival Must See Shows of 2015

MOONTOWER COMEDY & ODDITIES FESTIVAL is coming up this month, and once again its shaping up to be one of the best festivals of the year. Moontower, more than any other festival has the feeling of comedy summer camp.
