Joan Rivers, George Carlin, Harold Ramis and Milton Berle are no longer with us, but their children and family members, Melissa Rivers, Kelly Carlin, Julian Ramis and Marshall Berle (who is actually the nephew of the late great comedian), grabbed ceremonial shovels and helped to break ground for the construction of a new National Comedy Center in Jamestown New York on Saturday, according to wgrz.

When you interview a comedic magic dragon, you get sarcastic answers. Because comedic magic dragons are quite smart aleck-y. But this particular comedic magic dragon is having a great week because he just got himself a golden buzzer on America's Got Talent. PiffTheMagicDragon had a great set on his first appearance on AGT in round one, really impressing Howard Stern, Howie Mandel, and Heidi Klum in his first appearance earlier this season. He also got almost 3 million views on the clip that got posted on YouTube.

Amy doesn’t need anybody to defend her, because she didn’t do anything wrong, but comics are basically truth seekers, and I was curious to get the reaction from some of the Latino and Black comics that are on the scene and see what they thought about the whole thing, especially because the Washington Post article said that only white people are laughing at Amy’s jokes.

Monday night Lisa Lampanelli appeared at the infamous 92nd Street Y in conversation with radio host Ron Bennington, to promote her new special, Back to the Drawing Board. It was an important and meaningful night for Lisa, not only because of the history of incredible speakers who have sat down in conversation at the 92Y, but also because it was her first time speaking frankly, in front of a live audience about everything that's happened in the past two years.

This week on Real Time with Bill Maher, the topic turned once again to Seinfeld's now infamous commentary on college campuses being too PC, and Maher took a young college student to task for his opinions on the matter. The student who had written an "open letter" to Jerry Seinfeld that was published by Huffington Post. Bill Maher, in turn, called the young writer a "little shit" and composed his own open letter back.

Jackie Mason is a legend in the business of comedy, he's one of the few living comedians who dominated the Borscht Belt in America. The 84 year old comic doesn't perform a lot these days, and doesn't give interviews often, but he had a lot to say this week after hearing about Jerry Seinfeld's statement that America is too PC. He had some very politically in-correct (or un-politically correct?) things to say.

Larry David is passing his torch over to Jason Alexander. Once again, Jason will take over a role Larry originated. Last time it was his persona, playing a character in Seinfeld largely based on Larry's life, and this time he's taking over for Larry on Broadway, in the hit show Fish in the Dark.
