Larry David and Jason Alexander and Jimmy Fallon Talk About “Going Backstage”
Larry David is passing his torch over to Jason Alexander. Once again, Jason will take over a role Larry originated. Last time it was his persona, playing a character in Seinfeld largely based on Larry’s life, and this time he’s taking over for Larry on Broadway, in the hit show Fish in the Dark.
Last night Larry and Jason were guests on The Tonight Show and talked with Fallon about the show. The subject of going backstage came up, because when Larry said he didn’t see Fallon backstage at all during his broadway run. Jimmy says he’ doesn’t do backstage, and figures out that either way, whether he went backstage or not, he was going to annoy LD. If you don’t come backstage, Jason said, you didn’t like the show. But if you do come backstage….
