Time to Embrace Comedy at Tribeca: A Look at the Comedies of the Tribeca Film Festival 2016

Tribeca has had a history of including a variety of comedy films since their inception, when the first Best Narrative award went to the comedy Roger Dodger. The slate has always found a surprisingly strong number of comedies to play alongside the more serious indie dramas. Their midnight movie selections (normally host to shock drama) have also been open to comedies, such as the sports parody Balls Out and especially comedy-horror films such as Fresh Meat and Zombeavers. Along with their usual slate of low-key indie comedies, the festival has played host to special events honoring classic comedies. Just last year the festival hosted the Monty Python reunion with screenings of their classic films (and premiere of their documentary). And even offered public screenings of silent films, such as last year’s screening of Harold Lloyd’s Speedy with live music.

Deadpool’s T.J. Miller Reveals His Very Real Plan to Fight Advertising with Advertising

Last week we wrote about Deadpool co-star T.J. Miller's crusade against Ricky Gervais as revealed in his one hour interview with SiriusXM host Ron Bennington, but Gervais isn't the only ill that Miller wants to cure. In the interview, which was part of Bennington's Unmasked series, he also unveiled a plan to start a non profit company to combat the negative effects of advertising. It will be called the Epi-Curators and its mission will be to post billboards around the country to let everyone know a very simple message: "It's okay."

Ricky Gervais released a new photograph on his twitter that shows David Brent back in the office, in somewhat familiar looking territory for his new movie Life on the Road. The film follows Brent on tour with his band years after working at Wernham Hogg, the company that was the basis for the beloved UK series, The Office.

Ricky Gervais Will Host the 73rd Annual Golden Globes

Ricky Gervais is back! Gervais hosted the Golden Globe awards ceremony for three years in 2010, 2011, and 2012, and now after a three year break during which Tina Fey and Amy Poehler took over, he's coming back to host in 2016. The 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards are set for January 10, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

Netflix Announces Cast of Ricky Gervais Movie Will Include Kevin Pollak, Vera Farmiga

It was previously announced in April that Eric Bana and Ricky Gervais will star in the next Ricky Gervais film about a struggling New York radio journalist. Yesterday Netflix announced that Kevin Pollak, along with Vera Farmiga
