9. Mike Reid – Walk on Faith
Mike Reid who played in the 70s with Cincinnati may be the most decorated music talent to come out of the NFL. The two time Pro Bowler’s music career outshines what he did on the field. During the offseasons, Reid would play piano with different symphony orchestras. After meeting Larry Gatlin, Reid’s songwriting career took off. He won a Grammy for Ronnie Milsap’s “Stranger In My House”. He went on to work with artists like Marie Osmond, Tanya Tucker, Alabama, Bonnie Raitt and Conway Twitty. He’s written 12 number one hits including his own “Walk On Faith”. Mike Reid was also inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame.
