American NFL Idol!? The Strange Singing Careers of NFL Players

Offensive lineman Kyle Turley went from throwing helmets across the field to singing about them. After leaving football, Turley released his debut album “Anger Management”. One of the songs on the album is called “Flyin’ Helmets” about his incident with the Jets Damien Robinson where Turley threw Robinson’s helmet across the field. The album debuted on the iTunes Top 200 Country chart and got the attention of Hank (Williams) III, who Turley started touring with to promote his album. He has a recently released a new album called “Skull Shaker”. Turley also did a tailgating tour of NFL and college stadiums to raise money for Gridiron Greats Assistance Fund which helps former players with medical needs.
