American NFL Idol!? The Strange Singing Careers of NFL Players
6. Pacman Jones with The Posterboyz – Let It Shine
Adam “Pacman” Jones had a year to sit out of football in 2007 due to his suspension involving a Vegas strip club shooting. He took the time to join the world of professional wrestling and also a career in music. He formed National Street League Records, which didn’t get much music attention, but did get the attention of the NFL to determine if the name was copyright infringement. Pacman teamed with a record producer named Spoaty to form The Posterboyz. The Posterboyz released a single “Let It Shine” on MySpace and promised a full album the next year. The album never appeared and Pacman’s label lost in court to employees who were suing for back wages.
