With the understanding that it's not an exact science, and really just an opinion, I will give you my top 15 comedy events list of 2014, of all the events that I covered during the year. Some of the events I was involved with in some way, but most of them not! I tried to be as impartial as I could.

There persists an idea that women don’t love comedy as much as men do and it’s totally ridiculous. Most women I know love to laugh between botox appointments when their foreheads are malleable enough. The problem is navigating the comedy scene where misogyny breeds like the Ebola virus but without the incessant race to find a cure.

Last Comic Standing is coming back to NBC on May 22nd. The show will be back with a new host, JB Smoove, and Roseanne, Keenan Ivory Wayans and Russell Peters will be judging. The original version of LCS debuted in 2003 on NBC with host Jay Mohr. Now over 10 years since that first season, we can look back and see how those original contestants fared in their comedy careers. Who's still standing!?

Comedian Jim Florentine was a guest on the Ron and Fez show this week, and told some great stories about working with Andrew “Dice” Clay. Florentine went on the road with Dice for about 5 or 6 years as his opening act. According to Florentine, Dice would take ball busting to an extreme—even by comedian standards.
