This Saturday at Radio City Music Hall comedian Brian Regan will take the stage and perform live not only for the 6,000 seats in the theater, but for a everyone across North American who tunes in to Comedy Central at 9pm. It's the first time Comedy Central has ever broadcast a comedy special live, and Brian is the perfect comedian to break new ground for the channel. He's beloved by fans and fellow comedians, and he performs material that kills with every age group. Brian's been on a huge press tour to promote the big event, and I got to speak with him earlier this week about getting ready for the big night.

If you've been watching Last Comic Standing, then you already know Andy Erikson. She's in the final five, she's incredibly funny, and she stands out in any crowd. After her invitational round set, Roseanne joked about having a weird voice, and in the semi-finals her awkward stage exit was chosen as the #1 most awkward stage exist in this season's competition. Andy is fine with being called weird, but it's the great kind of weird. Quirky, unique, adorable, joyful, a tiny bit cartoon character like, and fun are other words you might use to describe her. And she loves unicorns.

Yesterday Ron Bennington announced that for the first time ever, he's taking Unmasked up to the Montreal Just for Laughs Comedy Festival. He already announced that he'll be sitting down with Bill Burr in front of a live studio audience for an hour interview, and now he's added a second show, with a live audience with special guest Chris D'Elia.

Our picks for the ten greatest comedy movies of 2014 are all over the map. There is a blockbuster, and bunch of indie films among our picks, and we chose several films that you might argue aren't actually comedies. But we stand by the notion that often the best comedies are films that are dark, or mixed genre, so we didn't get details like that get in our way of picking some great films that skirted the edges of being pure comedies.
