Ron Bennington Taking Unmasked to Montreal with Special Guest Bill Burr
Ron Bennington is taking Unmasked on the Road! The critically acclaimed long format talk show is going to Montreal this month, and it’s just been announced that Bennington will sit down with one of stand up comedy’s greatest performers– Bill Burr.
In the one hour series, Bennington interviews the biggest names in comedy about their craft, and their creativity in front of a live audience. Burr has previously been a guest on Unmasked in 2011 just as we was preparing for his Carnegie Hall show, and in the five years since his career has taken off exponentially. Since then his weekly podcast “Bill Burr’s Monday Morning Podcast” has grown by leaps and bounds, he’s filmed and aired two outstanding comedy specials, released a vinyl recording of his Carnegie Hall performance, won the Just for Laughs Award for Stand Up Comedian of the year in 2014, he’s been on television shows, in movies, and his Netflix series F is For Family comes out later this year.
Bennington and Burr will sit down in front of a live audience at Montreal’s Just for Laughs comedy festival to tape the hour long interview on July 23rd at 6:15pm at the Hyatt Regency Montreal and we’ll be giving away tickets.
The Unmasked series documents the careers of the very best comedy writers, directors, filmmakers, actors, screenwriters, satirists, political comedians, comedic musicians and of course, stand up comedians in the business. With over 125 episodes so far, Unmasked is a veritable archive of the greatest comedy of our time. Past Unmasked guests have included Joan Rivers, Bob Newhart, Amy Schumer, Dan Aykroyd, Simon Pegg, Tracy Morgan, Paul Feig, Jim Jefferies, Gilbert Gottfried, Bobcat Goldthwait, Louis C.K., David Brenner, Brian Regan, Patrice O’Neal and over 100 more comedy greats.
