Steve Zahn, Michael Imperioli Dark Comedy Series Gets Start Date

Amazon today announced its brand-new original dramatic series, Mad Dogs, a co-production with Sony Pictures Television, is scheduled to premiere on Friday, January 22 on Prime Video. The series stars Steve Zahn, Michael Imperiolii, Billy Zane, Romany Malco and Ben Chaplin. Amazon Prime members who watched the series pilot when it first premiered in January have been anxiously awaiting the return of the series since they found out it got the green light last February.

Gervais Clears Up Return To The Office

Ricky Gervais released a new photograph on his twitter that shows David Brent back in the office, in somewhat familiar looking territory for his new movie Life on the Road. The film follows Brent on tour with his band years after working at Wernham Hogg, the company that was the basis for the beloved UK series, The Office.

Congratulations to the five Grammy Nominees for Best Comedy Album this year! Among the nominees were Lisa Lampanelli and Jay Mohr whose albums we spotlighted earlier this year, as well as Louis C.K., Wyatt Cenac, and Craig Ferguson. Three of the releases were produced by our friends at Comedy Dynamics which continues to be a powerhouse in the industry.

Chelsea stepped away from her hit late night television show Chelsea Lately! on August 26th 2014, and her fans have been patiently waiting for her Netflix projects to roll out. Back in July 2014 Chelsea promised a one hour special, four docu-comedy specials, and a brand new talk show. She's delivered on the hour, and now Chelsea fans can't wait to see this next project. Judd Apatow will produce Kumail Nanjiani's Big Sick-- a film he co-wrote with his wife Emily V. Gordon based on real life events. Nanjiani will also star in the film, and Michael Showalter will direct.

Seth Meyers To Headline Gilda’s Laughfest 2016

This morning producers announced the lineup for the Sixth Annual annual Gilda's Laughfest. Seth Meyers, Kathy Griffin, Marlon Wayans, Anjelah Johnson and Roy Wood Jr. will headline the 2016 festival along with performances from Jim Norton, Bridget Everett, Denver's own Grawlix (which features Ben Roy, Andrew Orvedahl and Adam Cayton-Holland), Ron Funches, Undateable's Chris D’Elia, Bert Kreischer, Heather McDonald, and Sebastian Maniscalco.
