Hari Konabalu Kicks Off NYT Series on Comedy and Race

The New York Times is taking an in depth look at those who are using stand-up as a way to address how race - subtle and obvious - is being played out in America today. Off Color is a new online series that profiles four comedians of different ethnic backgrounds who are using their craft to confront and challenge stereotypes that they have dealt their entire lives.

George Carlin Officially Has His Way

On Wednesday, the New York rain held off long enough for the city to honor legendary comedian George Carlin. At a naming ceremony, the the 400 block of West 121st Street and Amsterdam Avenue officially became known as "George Carlin Way". Now due to some construction and scaffolding going on in the neighborhood, the "George Carlin Way" street sign will hang temporarily at 121st Street and Morningside Drive.

New Radio Show “Bennington” Premiered on SiriusXM and Trended for Three Hours

The #2 trending topic for almost three hours in the United States on Friday was #Bennington signaling the arrival of the much anticipated Ron Bennington solo radio show on SiriusXM's Opie Radio Channel. Except it turned out not to be a solo show after all.

A Comic’s Life: Bob Newhart Writes Back

Dan Perlman is a young writer and comic, who has been performing comedy for 4 years . He performs nightly in New York City, and tours around the country at festivals, clubs and colleges.
