Bridget Everett Destroys At Joe’s Pub in New York City

Last night we were front and center to see Everett's smash hit show Rock Bottom, and she blew the doors off the legendary venue. It was nothing short of electric. Every number was a showstopper and the crowd went sideways. And speaking of stars, Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch were sitting ringside for the show and like everyone else they had arms in the air singing along and loving the show. Bridget connects with audience in a way that makes everyone in the room feel like she's singing to you, and you are drawn into the performance both literally and figuratively.

IFC Releases Trailers for Epic New Miniseries “The Spoils Before Dying” and “Documentary Now” Mockumentary Series

We have written about IFC's upcoming miniseries, The Spoils Before Dying. The six-part show has a loaded cast, led by Will Ferrell, Kristin Wiig, and more. IFC just released the trailer, less than a month ahead of the July 8 premiere. From the looks of it, The Spoils Before Dying could be the comedy event of the summer.

These journalists will cover the journalists. These documentaries will document documentaries, and it seems like they have just the right team to cover it.

“Birdman” Wins At The Film Independent Spirit Awards

Comedy ruled the best film category at the Film Independent Spirit Awards. "Birdman" took home the top honor of Best Feature at the tented awards show. Alejandro G. Iñárritu's dark comedy beat out fellow independent feature nominees, "Boyhood", "Selma", "Whiplash" and "Love Is Strange". Iñárritu was also nominated for Best Director, however that Spirit Award went to the director of "Boyhood", Richard Linklater. Emmanuel Lubezki also took home a bird trophy for "Birdman" when he won the award for Best Cinematography.
