The Best and Biggest Comedy Tours of 2015

Gigantic was the word in comedy tours in 2015. Some tours broke records for the size of the venue, others for the incredible number of celebrated performers, and still others were gigantic because of how many cities of the world they hit, or because the tour has been going on forever! This year, once again comedy programming comes in many forms. Our 2015 list of best comedy shows includes some traditional television programming as well as a series from Yahoo and Netflix. It’s almost impossible to try and list my top comedy moments from 2015, because there were just so many. Trying to only choose 15 was a monumental task. Last year I did more of a review than a “Top 15” list, but this year I decided to try and list the 15 events that meant the most to me. Top Ten Moments in Late Night in 2015

Late night talk shows are a huge source of comedy. The hosts all have a background in comedy, the writers are all primarily comedy writers, there are comedy guests, stand up performances, comedy sketches, and of course the monologues. This was a huge year for late night, with legendary hosts leaving, new hosts coming on board, and all kinds of shake ups in lineups. With the tenor of late night programming shifting uncomfortably to bar games, it's important to celebrate the greatness, and there was plenty. Best Animated Comedy Series of 2015

2015's been one of the strongest years for animated series in a long time. The amount of voice talent, the technology to animate and the various distribution outlets have created a perfect storm. That being said, Adult Swim still seems to be the top dog in brutally original and hysterical animated programming. Though FX, Fox and Comedy central do not slack off at all.
