Louis C.K. and Albert Brooks must have really hit it off co-starring in 'The Secret Life of Pets' because FX is announcing that the duo are teaming up to create, write and co-star in an animated series pilot for FX, which we're comfortable saying they're creating a series, because really, who is going to turn down a pilot created by two of the best comedians in the business?

Congratulations to the five Grammy Nominees for Best Comedy Album this year! Among the nominees were Lisa Lampanelli and Jay Mohr whose albums we spotlighted earlier this year, as well as Louis C.K., Wyatt Cenac, and Craig Ferguson. Three of the releases were produced by our friends at Comedy Dynamics which continues to be a powerhouse in the industry.

Louis sat down to talk with Paul Provenza -- who we like to call stand up comedy's youngest elder statesmen-- for a show called Comics Only which was airing on a still new Comedy Central network.

Every year Forbes announces the highest earners in a number of categories. This week, Forbes rolled out the highest paid men and women --well make that men-- working in the field of comedy. According to Forbes, these ten comedians alone generated over 166 million dollars and that's just this year.

Following Amazon's five Primetime Emmy wins, six pilots will launch from acclaimed creators this season, with a lot of comedy names involved. One Mississippi, a dark comedy based on Tig Notaro's life hails from Executive Producers Louis CK, Notaro, Diablo Cody and Executive Producer/Director Nicole Holofcener.
