This video’s been making the rounds around the internet comedy sites. It’s a seven minute clip from 1991 when Louis CK had only been doing stand up for about 5 years. Louis sat down to talk with Paul Provenza — who we like to call stand up comedy’s youngest elder statesmen– for a show called Comics Only which was airing on a still new Comedy Central network.
According to the YouTube description, Louis was already recognized as a major comedy talent at that time and was opening for Seinfeld, but it would still be another 5 years before he would record his first special.
The clip has been sitting on YouTube for almost a year now, but it took a reddit thread to get people talking about it.
