Preview Globesmen, Documentary Now’s First Season Two Clip

IFC has just released a clip from the upcoming season of their faux-documentary show, Documentary Now! The show, which stars SNL alums Bill Hader and Fred Armisen, consists of the duo playing roles in mockumentaries that are filmed in the styles of famous documentaries both old and new.

New Animated Series Big Mouth Will Star Nick Kroll, John Mulaney

Comedy stars and collaborators Nick Kroll and John Mulaney will star in a new original animated series coming to Netflix. Big Mouth will feature a ton of stand up and comedy familiar voices including Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein in addition to Kroll and Mulaney.

Jack-of-all-trades Bill Hader, known for his turn on SNL and as a writer for South Park, will soon be able to add “director” to his resume after it was announced today that HBO picked up his new series, Barry.

Armisen Delivers Strong Season Finale for SNL With Special Guests

It was a rough two weeks for SNL but last night's episode with Fred Armisen as host closed season 41 on a high note. Armisen delivered a bizarre but hilarious extended opening monologue, where Armisen shared an excerpt from his fictional one man show about how SNL changed his life. Armisen explained that he owes everything to he place where he got his start, and said that's why he created a one man show, "Love From New York I Did Saturdays Right." He shared excerpts, which included re-enacting getting the call to audition for SNL, and his experience trying out for the role of a lifetime, and impressions of a buddy from home who might have been Barney Rubble.
