Any time you try to make a list of the "top" anything, it's always a little bit subjective, due to the point of view of the writer. With the understanding that it's not an exact science, and really just an opinion, I will give you my top 15 comedy events list of 2014, of all the events that I covered during the year. Some of the events I was involved with in some way, but most of them not! I tried to be as impartial as I could.

Martin Scorsese HBO Project is a Go with Dice, Ray Romano

Martin Scorsese's hour-long drama series starring Bobby Cannavale, Ray Romano and Andrew Dice clay has been ordered to series by HBO. The new drama will explore the music business in the 1970's through the eyes of a record executive trying to resurrect his label in the face of the emerging punk and disco markets and will shoot in New York, and will star two prominent comedy personalities-- Ray Romano and Andrew Dice Clay.

An affair with Terri Hatcher, the origins of many components of the Diceman character, and behind the scenes looks at his many setbacks, achievements. He also talks about the outrageousness of his material, and how pushing boundaries both helped and hurt his career. The upsides were ongoing. Killing at clubs, his runaway breakout HBO Special, selling out Madison Square Garden for not one but two nights. Even the infamous appearance that got Dice banned from MTV seemed to only help his career.
