This weekend, Andy Kindler will be appearing at The Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival in Austin, Texas. Amy Hawthorne caught up with him to talk about the festival and his Twitter addiction.

He has a substandard poodle, he owns the domain name patheticmen.com, his groupies are middle aged jewish couples who invite him over for soup, he likes to find comedy in odd places, and he is celebrating the 20th Anniversary of his show, Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist. The "he" in question, of course is stand up comedian Jonathan Katz.

MOONTOWER COMEDY & ODDITIES FESTIVAL is coming up this month, and once again its shaping up to be one of the best festivals of the year. Moontower, more than any other festival has the feeling of comedy summer camp. The venues are all close enough to walk to, the weather is pretty stunning, and there's great food all around you-- including some of the best bbq in the country. Plus there are parties every night, a giant Ping Pong tournament and walk in access to dozens of events, all with the company of somewhere around 100 of the country's funniest comedians

Bob's Burgers is one of the most critically acclaimed comedies on TV, winning the Emmy for outstanding animated program in 2014. The show is known for its great writing and characters, who wouldn't be nearly as great without the impeccable voice casting behind the animation. As the Moontower Comedy and Oddity Festival winds down into its final night, we got to talk to a Moontower veteran, comedian Andy Kindler. It's only the third year of the Moontower festival, but since it's Kindler's third year at the festival, that counts. We were excited to get to talk with Kindler today about the festival, as well as the state of comedy, and the upcoming season of Last Comic Standing.
