Kathy Griffin Creeped Out By Woody Allen Encounter

Kathy Griffin is currently doing some press in order to promote her new book of celebrity anecdotes, called Celebrity Run-Ins, My A-Z Index. This past week, during an interview with The Huffington Post, she had a story about Woody Allen up her sleeve that certainly didn’t do the guy any favors considering his reputation.
“So get this shit you guys. I’m at a small dinner party of like 12 people, right?” Griffin began. “And I’m seated next to Woody Allen, and I’m uncomfortable because I think he’s guilty,” she joked, referring to the infamous allegations against Allen made by his daughter, Dylan Farrow.
Allen approached Griffin and earned some points in her book for his dark sense of humor, as the director apparently introduced his wife Soon-Yi (the adopted daughter of his ex-girlfriend, Mia Farrow) as his “child bride.”
The two talked for a while, with Griffin asking Allen about his films and friendships and Allen seeming generally disinterested. It wasn’t until Griffin brought up Miley Cyrus, she claims, that Allen perked up. “I’ve never missed Hannah Montana,” he apparently said to Griffin, deadly serious. That Allen was so genuinely enthusiastic about a show detailing the life of a pre-teen girl was, as Griffin put it, “creepy, but weird, but funny.”
Just to top things off, at the end of the conversation, Allen even lamented the downfall of his friend/fellow accused molester Bill Cosby, saying “And now I have to watch my friend Bill Cosby get railroaded.”
From the way Griffin told this story, it’s as if Allen went down a checklist of things he could say to solidify all of the negative rumors surrounding him. This is only one of what’s sure to be a treasure trove of stories that Griffin has to share from her years of toiling away in Hollywood, so the new book is looking to have some real potential.
Celebrity Run-Ins, My A-Z Index is hitting stores on November 22nd.
