Details are scant so far, but it appears that comedian Jim Jefferies will be shooting The Jim Jefferies Show for Comedy Central this coming week. Not much is known about it, except that the title is unofficial, and it will be a behind-the-desk talk show that will feature Jefferies going off on a myriad of topics, from gun violence to pornography and everything in between.

Had fun in Vegas. But now it's time to focus and make "the Jim Jefferies show" (title isn't official yet) for Comedy Central.

It’s no surprise that Jefferies is being tapped as a show host — while he’s hilarious when he’s waxing poetic about the beauty of the word “cunt,” it’s his social commentary that he is best known for. A quick search of the comic’s name on YouTube shows that some of his most viewed clips are the ones pertaining to gun control and religion. That’s Jefferies in a nutshell: a quick, charming and brilliant comic who is just as funny making dick and fart jokes as he is making observations about our new President-elect. Other than tweeting out a link for tickets to the event, Jefferies hasn’t said a word about the show, so you’ll just have to go to the pilot taping and see for yourself what it’s all about (and then let us know).
The pilot is being taped on Wednesday, December 7th at 6 p.m. at the Hollywood Center Studios in Los Angeles. Tickets are free to anyone who signs up for the event here.
The call for audience members reads “Fresh off a series of blockbuster comedy specials, Jim moves behind the anchor desk and brings his sharp social commentary to a whole new audience. Let Jim tell you everything you need to know about hilarious, fun-for-the-whole-family topics like gun violence, slavery, pornography, and much more. Plus, some stuff about Donald Trump, because unfortunately there’s no way he can avoid talking about that. These are dark times in America. Jim Jefferies is here to make it a little bit darker.”
