Go Inside Jerry Seinfeld’s Upcoming Netflix Special

Earlier this year, Jerry Seinfeld signed a deal with Netflix that required the comedian to produce two new comedy specials and 24 episodes of Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. While those episodes are still a ways away, we now have a release date for Seinfeld’s new special. It will be available on September 19th.

Called Jerry Before Seinfeld, this new hour from the iconic comedian will see him hit the stage of New York City’s Comic Strip, the club that started it all for him. Seinfeld’s act will include both never-before-seen material and some of the old standbys that helped launch his career. The performance will feature artifacts from Seinfeld’s veritable museum of legal pads with decades-old joke notes, childhood videos and more. In short, this is Seinfeld going back to his roots.

Netflix has provided a small glimpse at some of those infamous notes via their Instagram page, featuring photos and a few videos showing how Seinfeld constructed some of his more well-known bits over time. Check out a sampling below:
