Bamboozled (2000)
It’s easy to see why the poster for the 2000 film Bamboozled may have ruffled a few feathers due to it’s depiction of the films lead characters in minstrel show era black face. Critics of the Spike Lee film were ready to give the poster the heave-ho when they actually saw the movie and realized that it was a satirical film fighting stereotypes and racism. They could have just checked and saw that the guy who wrote and directed the film was also black.
