‘The Chris Gethard Show’ Live Caller Recounts a Date With a Cannibal

Since its inception, The Chris Gethard Show has made the insane and unexpected its bread and butter. Now early into its run on its new home network truTV, the show has maintained that theme and then some; the show’s  truTV debut saw Impractical Jokers member Q take a chainsaw to the set and ended with Gethard promising to travel to Missouri to crash on the couch of a lucky fan.

Last night, during a segment in which viewers called in to tell stories of when they were at their dumbest, a fan upped the ante with a story that sent the audience, along with guests Julie Klausner and Jordan Klepper, into hysterics. We won’t give away too much here, but let’s just say that it involved a date with a nice German man who enjoyed fried chicken and a, uh, different kind of meat.
