Weird Al Yankovic’s Latest Video Release “Lame Claim To Fame”
Weird Al Yankovic is releasing a new parody music video every day for 8 days. Here’s Day 7’s offering. Weird Al is singing about people and their very weak celebrity connections in “Lame Claim To Fame”. It’s done in the style of Southern Culture on the Skids. Everybody knows someone famous or at least knows someone who knows someone who knows someone famous.
Here’s what Weird Al has released so far.
Day 1 brought the celebrity filled music video “Tacky” in a parody of Pharrell Williams’ “Happy”.
Day 2, Weird Al committed “Word Crimes“. A musical answer to Robin Thicke’s 2013 Summer hit, “Blurred Lines”.
Day 3, Lourdes’ “Royals” was transformed into Weird Al’s “Foil“.
Day 4 brought us “Handy” the parody form of “Fancy” by Iggy Azalea.
Day 5, everyone was marching along to Weird Al’s “Sports Song“.
Day 6 had the Weird One singing about “First World Problems” done in the style of the Pixies.
There’s one day left of Mandatory Fun. Let’s see what Weird thing tomorrow will bring.
