The first video came out on Monday. It’s a spoof of Pharrell Williams’ Oscar nominated overly joyful super hit “Happy” from the film “Despicable Me 2”. Weird Al has changed the song from “Happy” to “Tacky”. The video for “Tacky” was shot at the Palace Theatre in Los Angeles. It’s filled with comedians and comedic performers wearing their tacky best, including Aisha Tyler, Margaret Cho, Eric Stonestreet, Kristen Schaal and Jack Black.
Weird Al who’s been putting out parody albums since 1983, told the Nerdist – “I am very proud of it. I think its my best album to date.” Mandatory Fun currently holds the #1 spot for pop music on Amazon.
Here’s the first of 8 new video releases from Weird Al Yankovic, “Tacky”.
