The Wet Hot American Summer boys have teamed up with TBS to develop a new single-camera comedy called Moon Cruise, which is described as “The Love Boat but set in space” (according to THR) Further details on the show are skimpy, but we do know that it will star Michael Ian Black (The Jim Gaffigan Show, The State) and will be produced by Michael Showalter, David Wain and Jonathan Stern, all fellow members of comedy troupe The State.

Black has been keeping busy lately, between his role as McKinley in Wet Hot American Summer and as family friend Daniel on the recently-nixed TV Land sitcom The Jim Gaffigan Show. On top of Wet Hot American Summer, Stern, Wain and Showalter all have their hands in various other projects; Stern is producing the new Mystery Science Theater 3000, Wain was behind the wildly popular Children’s Hospital, and Showalter recently created the new TBS show Search Party.

Moon Cruise will be ready to set sail some time in 2017.
