Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

Summer has arrived with the Memorial Day weekend. Of course, all of our late night talk shows are taking the federal holiday off, but the majority of them are turning that Monday into a full week vacation. You know what they say about late night talk show hosts, give ’em a Monday, they take a whole week. And if they don’t say that, they really should.

This week, Colbert, Fallon, Seth, Corden and Conan are all taking a week off to get ready for their longer summer vacations. That doesn’t mean we’re completely without new late night programming. The Daily Show and The Opposition on Comedy Central are giving us 3 days this week. And Jimmy Kimmel is coming in to work at JKL. Not only is Kimmel working this week, but Jimmy is also giving us a special edition of “Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night” at 8pm on Thursday before Game 1 of the NBA Finals. Jimmy Kimmel’s special guest on the 8pm JKL will be the number one stand up and NBA fan in the country, Kevin Hart.

Also this week, the guys we can always count on, Jim Jefferies and Chris Gethard have new shows for their fans. Tuesday, Jim Jefferies has a new episode of his show on Comedy Central. One of Jim’s main topics in the past has been Ireland’s ban on abortion. It’s actually in their constitution as Ireland’s 8th Amendment. On Friday, the Irish voted to “Repeal the 8th” and lift the ban, so Jim Jefferies will more than likely be weighing in on this big change for Ireland. And if countries are looking to start tossing out their amendments,.Jim Jefferies probably wouldn’t mind America getting rid of its 2nd. Tune in Tuesday night at 10:30pm on Comedy Central to find out. Also on Tuesday, not only is there a new episode of The Chris Gethard Show on truTV, but as always, it’s live too. Chris’ special guest will be Paul Rudd and together with the whole Gethard Gang, they’ll be making your lifelong dreams finally come true on Tuesday night.

There’s plenty of comedy highlights with this week’s late night reruns, in case you missed them the first time or want to see them all over again. Tuesday has internationally known comedian Gad Elmaleh on Conan’s “Best Of”, Amy Schumer on a repeat of the Late Show, and Michelle Wolf on an encore presentation of Late Night with Seth Meyers.

Wednesday, you can see John Mulaney on the Tonight Show and Kevin Hart on Conan all over again. Thursday’s repeats include Martin Short on Conan and Patton Oswalt and Jimmy Fallon on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Then on Friday, late night reruns feature both Dana Carvey and Simon Pegg on a re-airing of the Late Show and the Broken Lizard troupe talking “Super Troopers 2” on a repeat of Last Call with Carson Daly. Then on Saturday, NBC knows how hot Donald Glover is right now, so it’s re-airing the episode when he hosted Saturday Night Live just 4 weeks ago.
