Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

Everyone is back from their long Memorial Day break and back behind their late night desks. So lets get right to the highlights this week.

If you’re a Jimmy Kimmel fan, you’re getting some JKL in prime time this week with his Jimmy Kimmel Live: Game Night shows on Wednesday and Friday at 8pm before the Cavaliers / Warriors NBA Finals games on ABC.

Other highlights start right at the beginning of the week with comedy superstar Kevin Hart appearing on the Late Show on Monday. Expect some extra hard gushing from Jimmy Fallon on Tuesday night when he hosts Tom Cruise. Unlike Cruise’s Oprah interview, Jimmy may be the excited one jumping up and down on the couch. Also on Tuesday, Seth Meyers has both Courtney Love and John Early on Late Night. Please let these two meet backstage and become besties!

We mentioned Tom Cruise previously, (out promoting The Mummy), and on Wednesday, he is appearing on the Late Late Show with James Corden along with Russell Brand. Now if Corden puts Cruise and Russell “No Filter” Brand on the same couch at the same time, we can only hope for some awkward moments with Russell peppering Tom with questions about his personal life. All we can do is tune in to see if any actual fireworks develop. Also on Wednesday, Seth Meyers hosts comedy acting icon Alan Alda on Late Night while one of our favorite stand ups, Mark Normand, returns to Conan.

Thursday features one of Conan’s writers stepping in front of the curtain to perform stand up when Laurie Kilmartin moves from writer to guest. Then start the weekend with prime time Kimmel and guest Owen Wilson, while late night Kimmel has Jerrod Carmichael. Plus here’s one more reason to stay in on Friday night, Colbert has both Jim Gaffigan and Louie Anderson.
