Who is On Late Night Tonight in Comedy: Week of September 9, 2019

Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

This week in late night, Jimmy Kimmel is bringing in some of the biggest names in comedy to JKL! On Monday, Jimmy Kimmel Live has Chelsea Handler talking about her latest projects with Netflix. Then on Tuesday, Kimmel welcomes Ed Helms promoting his new comedy horror movie “Corporate Animals” which stars Demi Moore in her return to film. Then don’t miss it on Wednesday when comedy’s Mr. Lovable, Bill Burr arrives on Jimmy Kimmel Live to talk about his new special. His new hour is called “Bill Burr: Paper Tiger” and it was filmed at the Royal Albert Hall in London. It’s available for streaming this Tuesday, September 10th on Netflix.

In addition to all this comedy, Jimmy Kimmel is also bringing some mystery to JKL. This week, Jimmy Kimmel Live is advertising a special “mystery musical guest” on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of this week. Kimmel’s people aren’t saying if this mystery musical guest is one act that will be performing on three separate nights this week on JKL. Or do we have three completely different mystery guests to look forward to this week!? Tune in to Jimmy Kimmel Live on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week when all will be revealed!

Wednesday night is also a big night on the Late Late Show with James Corden. Noah Gardenswartz will be performing on the Late Late Show to promote the release of his new comedy album, “Noah Gardenswartz: White Men Can’t Joke.” The new album will be available on Friday, September 13th (Lucky!) and will be released on various platforms including iTunes, Apple Music and Amazon Music. You’ve seen Noah on Conan, “Last Comic Standing” and in his own Comedy Central “Half Hour” special. He’s currently writing for the hit Amazon Prime series “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and we can’t wait for the release of “White Men Can’t Joke.

Thursday has a programming note for lovers of late night political comedy! The Daily Show with Trevor Noah announced that it will be going live this Thursday after the Democratic Debate. Trevor Noah will be on in his regular 11pm et time slot on Comedy Central, but the show will be live with his writing staff scrambling to cover Joe Biden’s latest gaffes and bloody eyes on the debate stage. No word on if Late Night with Seth Meyers and the Late Show with Stephen Colbert will be live in their time slots on Thursday, which both shows usually do after a big debate. The bookers on those shows may still be scrambling to find guests with some fresh takes on Kamala Harris’ and her apparent love of the “R-word”.

Also on Thursday, we look forward to seeing Jim Jefferies on the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon. Jim’s appearance on the Tonight Show means we’re getting closer to the new season of “The Jim Jefferies Show” on Comedy Central. This season, Jim takes his show around the globe to many international destinations. New episodes return to CC starting on Tuesday night, September 17th at 10:30pm et. To find out more on what to expect on the all-new episodes, check out the IBang’s coverage of the new season of the Jim Jefferies Show on Comedy Central.

As of this Saturday, we’ll be only two weeks away from the Season 45 premiere of Saturday Night Live on NBC. This weekend, enjoy one of the last SNL reruns of the summer hosted by John Mulaney with musical guest Thomas Rhett. Saturday Night Live returns with live shows on Saturday, September 28th with the season premiere hosted by Woody Harrelson.
