Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

Happy Labor Day! On Monday, all the late night talkers will be taking the day off, but the good news is that the day after Labor Day, vacations are over and our hosts (except for Conan) are back to laboring.

With all the “Best Of’s” on Monday, the late night shows are bringing out their special comedy guests for their holiday repeats. The original “Anchorman” himself, Ron Burgundy is making a surprise cameo on the Tonight Show rerun, the Late Show has red hot Tiffany Haddish on an encore episode and Late Night is re-airing Seth Meyer’s interview with SNL‘s Michael Che.

On Tuesday, Stephen Colbert is bringing out the big comedy guns when he hosts Jim Gaffigan on the Late Show. Then in exchange for plenty of Tuesday comedy, Colbert is going full-on political on Wednesday when his only scheduled guest is former Veep Joe Biden who brings his own brand of laughs even when he doesn’t mean to.

Also on Wednesday, James Corden is booking a line-up of funny guests. The Late Late Show has Marc Maron who co-stars in the hugely anticipated fall film release “Joker” out in October and also Jillian Bell who went through an amazing physical transformation for her new comedy movie “Brittany Runs a Marathon“, in theaters now.

The weekend is giving us some rare new late night shows on Friday evening. Over on HBO, Bill Maher is back from vacation with a new episode of Real Time. Then the always handy, always funny Nick Offerman is on a new Jimmy Kimmel Live and Robin Thede from HBO’s new sketch comedy series “A Black Lady Sketch Show” stops by the Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

Finally, we’re only a month away from a new season of Saturday Night Live and this Saturday, SNL replays one of its funnier repeat episodes from this past season with host and musical guest Halsey!
