Who is On Late Night Tonight in Comedy: Week of August 12, 2019

Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

We’re heading into that time of year when late night becomes an even more special part of the day. And that’s because kids across the country are heading back to school…which means kids are once again going to bed at a decent hour…which means they’re no longer staying up all night and running around, making noise all through your favorite late night talk shows….which means, adults of the world, late night is once again yours. Enjoy! Here’s some of this week’s highlights.

On Monday, we recommend that you change the channel to Comedy Central at 11:30pm et for Lights Out with David Spade. One of Spade’s Monday night guests helping him destroy everything sacred in pop culture is Tim Dillon. Tim is one of our favorite New York City comedians who you know from Rolling Stone’s “Ten Comics You Need to Know”, the Netflix stand up series “The Comedy Lineup“, SiriusXM’s “Bennington” and one of the most outrageous podcasts available, “Tim Dillon is Going to Hell” from GaS Digital Network. We can only hope that when Tim joins David Spade to take on today’s entertainment headlines on Monday night’s Lights Out, that Meghan McCain is in the news!

Tuesday, watch for Danny McBride on Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC. Danny is out promoting one of the most anticipated new comedy series of this year, “The Righteous Gemstones” on HBO. The series co-stars John Goodman and Adam DeVine who along with Danny McBride play a family of corrupt televangelists who have been fleecing their flocks. “Gemstones” is making every entertainment news outlet’s list of the shows to watch and we can’t wait until the premiere on Sunday, August 18th at 10pm et on HBO.

Wednesday is a full night of comedy guests on the late night talk shows, so be sure to check the full listings below. Jim Gaffigan is scheduled for Wednesday’s edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live. Jim will be sitting down with Jimmy to talk about his upcoming special on Amazon Prime, “Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time.” It’s the first comedy hour coming from the company that can also get you new sneakers with free two day shipping. “Jim Gaffigan: Quality Time” will be available for streaming this Friday, August 16th. Be sure to check out the Interrobang for more on how Jim Gaffigan teamed up with Jeff Bezo’s company to bring us “Amazon Prime’s first original stand up special.”

As the week starts to wrap up, on Thursday, David Spade continues to put some of the funniest people on the planet together to make fun of everything in the world of entertainment and gossip. His Thursday panel will include the lovably hilarious Jeff Garlin from “Curb Your Enthusiasm” and ABC’s “The Goldbergs“, along with that comedy force of nature, Todd Glass, who is currently out on tour and who is also the host of the aptly named podcast, “The Todd Glass Show.”

And once we make it to the weekend, we’ve got some new and some old in late night. First, there’s a new episode of Real Time with Bill Maher on Friday night at 10pm on HBO and on Saturday, it’s another old SNL summer repeat where we all get to relive Jonah Hill being inducted into the Saturday Night Live prestigious Five-Timers Club.

Turn the lights down and the volume up, it’s another week in late night.
