Comedians are artists and each year there are innovators who try something that has never been done before, or change the way the comedy is created. Pushing boundaries has been an important part of comedy throughout the history of making people laugh. This year we recognize 12 game changers who took comedy to a new level, going more absurd, more fun, more original or just under more challenging circumstances. All week we’ve written about the very best in comedy in 2015, and from now until the 31st, we'll continue to congratulate the best comedy created this year. But let's be honest, it's all ancient history. What really matters is, who is going to kill on stage in 2016. We've got some ideas of our own but we like to go directly to the source on this one, so we asked some of our favorite comedian and asked them who is going to crush, kill and break out in 2016.

The next guest on the new season of Jerry Seinfeld's Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is President Obama. This will be Obama's third time guesting on a comedy show but his first time appearing on a show that only has comedians as guests. He previously appeared on Between Two Ferns and Marc Maron's WTF.

Last night Will Ferrell made an unannounced appearance on Saturday Night Live and opened the show as George W. Bush who had something to say about this year's Republican candidates running for President. Like Ben Carson, who he said he can barely hear, Carly Fiorino who reminds Dubya of himself, and Rubio and Cruz who hate immigrants. And then there's Trump.

The Writers Guild of America announced their awards for the top 101 funniest screenplays of all time revealing Woody Allen and Marshall Brickman's Annie Hall topped the list. Annie Hall won the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay in 1977.
