Star Wars Set To Fall Short Of Avatar As Highest Grossing Movie Ever

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set to fall far short of the all-time highest grossing movie ever, ‘Avatar’, after it’s Chinese opening weekend did not perform well. The movie only grossed $52.6 million during it’s opening weekend in China, which means that it has only grossed $1.733 billion world-wide. This is compared to the 2009 release of James Cameron’s ‘Avatar’ which grossed to most of any movie ever with $2.78 Billion dollars. Disney is still hoping to catch up with Cameron after they cast Dave Franco as young Han Solo.
