SNL 40: Bill Murray Returns As Nick The Lounge Singer

Lounge singer Nick Ocean returned to Saturday Night Live for its tribute to musical characters on the 40th anniversary special. Nick, accompanied by former SNL cast member and current Late Show bandleader Paul Shaffer, took the audience back to the year 1975 when a fish named “Jaws” was scaring people off the beaches and tearing it up at the Summer box office. It’s not clear what lyrics Nick Ocean sang about the man-eating that got him censored for a moment by NBC, but we do know how he feels about that bastard shark. Why Jaws why!?
