Recently a spokesman for North Korea criticized “The Interview“, the movie co-written and co-directed by Seth Rogen for its plot. The film which stars Rogen and James Franco is about a TV talk show host and his producer who score an interview with Kim Jong Un and are recruited by the CIA to assassinate him.

Now the North Korean Foreign Ministry has moved way beyond criticism. The Boston Globe reported that North Korea now considers the Seth Rogen movie an act of war. Kim Jong Un’s government released the statement – “If the United States administration tacitly approves or supports the release of this film, we will take a decisive and merciless countermeasure”.

Also in the statement, Seth Rogen was called a “gangster filmmaker”. C’mon North Korea. You know that’s only going to encourage him.

Rogen answered the threat back on Twitter.
