Sarah Silverman Talks New Relationship with Her Old Relationship Jimmy Kimmel

Fresh off the release of her new hour special, Sarah Silverman reconnected with her ex-boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel. Sarah stopped by JKL to talk about her Netflix special, “A Speck of Dust” and spent most of her interview time talking about her new beau with her former one.
Once one of Hollywood’s top comedy power couples, Sarah and Jimmy’s conversation was peppered with both subtle and not-so-subtle jokes and references about their relationship, which included Jimmy commenting on how much better Sarah smells now.
The two took some time to catch up including Sarah mentioning Jimmy Kimmel’s new baby boy’s health crisis. She noted that Jimmy has had two kids since they broke up, saying, “So, I guess it really is over.” Kimmel brought up Sarah’s recent medical emergency where an abscess formed on her windpipe which could have been fatal. Sarah talked about waking up in restraints (“…I just assumed what anyone would assume, which is, I have been captured by ISIS”) because of fears that she would try to remove her ventilator. She also mentioned her current boyfriend, Michael Sheen (The Queen, Masters of Sex), being there in her hospital room. That’s when the interview turned into a conversation with the old boyfriend about the new boyfriend.
Sarah Silverman referred to her current love interest, Michael Sheen as her “on-again, off-again lover” which peaked Jimmy Kimmel’s curiosity, which in turn made Sarah regret her choice of words. Sarah and Michael are currently living on different continents in a relationship that is fairly complicated. Sarah did bring photos though of the incredibly unique and funny gift Michael gave her for her birthday. Not bad for someone who is not a comedian.
You can see Sarah’s gift from Michael Sheen and the her JKL interview in the clips below via the Jimmy Kimmel Live YouTube channel and you can immediately watch Sarah Silverman’s new special, “Sarah Silverman: A Speck of Dust” on Netflix.
