Rob Lowe To Be Roasted On Comedy Central
Details are scant at this point, but Comedy Central announced earlier today that perennial handsome guy Rob Lowe (Parks and Recreation, Tommy Boy) will be the subject of this year’s roast.
Every year, Comedy Central holds a roast of a random celebrity, from comics to actors and musicians. In recent years, comedians have gathered to crack jokes about people such as Justin Bieber, James Franco, Roseanne Barr, Charlie Sheen and Bob Saget. The cast of roasters changes each year, though there are some, like Jeff Ross, Lisa Lampanelli and Gilbert Gottfried, who have appeared in numerous roasts.
Lowe showed that he’s willing to take the ribbing in stride with his statement about the event: “What a thrill to once again be following in Justin Bieber’s footsteps. I look forward to a night of hilarious jokes recycled from the James Franco Roast. I would like to express my gratitude to the members of my family who have passed away and therefore will not have to endure what promises to be a very special evening.”
