Nick Kroll & John Mulaney Feud (and Make Up) on Conan

After 4 months of working together on the hit Broadway comedy, Oh, Hello, it was bound to happen. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney quit speaking to each other and their feud became very public when it spilled out on Conan on Tuesday night.

Conan recognized the (shhhh, pretend) break up right away when he introduced the 21st century comedy team and they came out to the stage separately, at different times and from different entrances. You can watch the clip below to see how the argument started or as John Mulaney called it, “a classic falling out like with Sasha and Malia.” The fight involved litigation, a tell-all book with a bad title, stolen money, drug problems and Dr. Harold Borstein M.D. If you’re not familiar with the good doctor, check out this parody Twitter account. Fortunately, Kroll and Mulaney’s disagreement only lasted to till the commercial break and was resolved by their mutual mocking of their host, Conan.

In other Nick Kroll and John Mulaney news, they will be hosting the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards. They’ll be great hosts, but don’t expect them to know too much about the nominated films. Nick Kroll and John Mulaney host the 2017 Film Independent Spirit Awards, live on IFC on Saturday, February 25th with a 5pm start time in the East. Then they both have animated projects coming out. John Mulaney will be part of the new Netflix animated series, Big Mouth starring Jenny Slate due out some time in 2017 on the streaming service. Nick Kroll will be in theaters this Summer in Captain Underpants: The First Epic Movie, starring as the voice of Professor Poopypants.
