New Web Series Coming from ‘Human Giant’ Creators Paul Scheer and Rob Huebel

Traditional television is like the first-born sibling of today’s streaming content. It’s still there, and its parents still love it, but it will never be the star of the show again. Case in point: Paul Scheer (The League, Fresh Off the Boat) and Rob Huebel (Children’s Hospital, Transparent) have a new show coming to a streaming-only platform that you’ve likely never heard of: go90.

Complex Network’s Seriously.TV produced the scripted comedy in collaboration with Huebel and Scheer. Called Drive Share, the show will feature a cast of guest-comics playing ride-sharing passengers/drivers and exploring “the awkward, bizarre and outrageous situations that strangers find themselves in just trying to get from point A to point B.” Some of the guests involved include Natasha Leggero, Jack McBrayer, Adam Pally, Yamaneika Saunders and more.

“I know this is the part of the press release where we are supposed to say something pithy but I’m really drawing a blank, so I’ll just say this might be the most accessible and important comedy show ever to be seen! Even more than Scandal,” said Scheer in a press release.

“Finally a show that makes fun of the dude who picks me up and thinks that we’re gonna be friends because he knows where I live. That’s not how friendship works, Steve. Please stop calling me,” added Huebel.

Drive Share will join fellow comedies Embeds and Thanksgiving on the go90 platform. The first episode will premiere on Monday, January 30th, with episodes airing everyday, Monday through Friday, until the season finale on Friday, March 20th.
