New Reggie Watts Track with Right Said Fred
The multi-talented Reggie Watts lent his vocals to 2776, a star-studded music/comedy album that will be released on July 4th. Watts is joined by Mayim Bialik, PhD and Right Said Fred (yes, that Right Said Fred) on ‘Journey To Anywhen’, which has been described as a ‘time-travel pop song about 1991 nostalgia’. Proceeds from the album will benefit OneKid, One World, which provides basic needs of learning fundamentals (desks, books, teacher salaries) for students in impoverished communities throughout Kenya and El Salvador.
On June 18th, Watts will bring his brand of 100% improvised comedy to New York’s Town Hall as part of the Blue Note Jazz Festival. It will be his first proper NYC performance this year and promises to be a festival highlight. A portion of the proceeds for this and all Blue Note Jazz Festival events will benefit JazzReach, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion, performance, creation and teaching of jazz music. Reggie Watts can currently been seen alongside Scott Aukerman on the IFC talk show Comedy Bang! Bang! with airs Thursdays at 10:30pm ET and the webseries Reggie Makes Music. Watts will also be opening for Nick Drake this month on a tour through Canada.
