Comedy and Music Mega-Album ‘2776’ Will Benefit Education

2776

The new 28 track music and comedy super-release will benefit OneKid OneWorld which provides a foundation for education in impoverished communities throughout Kenya and El Salvador.

The list of talents taking part in the project is massive.  Aubrey Plaza, Patton Oswalt, Reggie Watts, Ed Helms, Paul F. Tompkins, Eugene Mirman, Margaret Cho, The Sklar Brothers, Horatio Sanz, Dick Cavett, Bobcatt Goldthwait, Martha Plimpton, Robert Smigel and Triump the Insult comic Dog, Jonathan Katz, Dave Hill, Dick Gregory, Al Jaffee, are some of the names on the comedy side of things, and an equally impressive list of musical names like Aimee Mann and Andrew WK are just a few of the people on the musical end.

2776 is a trip through America’s past, present and future.  When an alien arrives on Earth in 2776 planning destruction of the planet, the US President played by Will Forte along George Washington (played by Paul F. Tompkins) have to join forces with Secret Service  (Aubrey Plaza) to convince  the alien, played by Martha Plimpton, to spare the planet, by taking a journey through history.   Along the way you’ll find:

  • Patton Oswalt as God announcing that he’s moved on;
  • Reggie Watts teaming up with Mayim Bialik and Right Said Fred to joyride through time;
  • Dick Cavett, Dick Gregory, Joe Franklin, and Al Jaffee as the Mount Rushmore heads griping about Margaret Cho being added to the rock;
  • A musical version of a future Supreme Court decision banning rock and roll by Nina Totenberg;

It’s not looking good for Earth.
