Moshe Kasher Gets “Problematic” on the Late Show

One of Comedy Central’s newest offerings to political late night comedy, Moshe Kasher, stopped by the Late Show to promote and explain his new series “Problematic” to Stephen Colbert. Moshe and Stephen shared some common ground since they both now know what it’s like to prepare a talk show for Comedy Central.

As “Problematic” got closer to its premiere date this past week, Moshe Kasher took a “preemptive strike” against the online trolls on Twitter who always treat new comedy shows like United Airlines treats passengers who don’t want to give up their seats. Moshe decided to put his Twitter “block” controls to good use. Instead of blocking potential trolls, he used it to block key phrases aimed at his direction. You can get the list of some of the phrases Moshe blocked by watching the Late Show clip below courtesy of YouTube.

Moshe Kasher said putting together the new show was like “controlled chaos”, but he hopes it works. The goal of “Problematic” is to try to “have conversations between people who don’t get along.” For an upcoming episode of the show which focuses on Islam, Moshe Kasher gave his audience an email address to submit any questions people might have about the religion. What he got back in return, were several “gay reality subscriptions” in his inbox.

He also talked to Colbert about the incredibly harsh way some liberals talk about right wing voters and said it’s not hard to see why left wingers can’t convince conservatives to see things their way. He even gives an example of how liberals shouldn’t talk about conservative voters. Plus, Moshe discussed his own identity issues that game from growing up in Oakland as a Jew with two deaf parents and constantly listening to West Coast gangsta rap.

Problematic with Moshe Kasher can be seen Tuesdays at 10pm on Comedy Central.
