Louie C.K. is guest starring on Portlandia tomorrow, and the episode’s previews are hilarious and delightfully uncomfortable. We’d expect nothing less from the creators and stars of the show Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein. In this week’s episode Louis is in town to do a show and all of Portland is understandably starstruck, but none more than local fans Fred Armisen and Carrie Brownstein, the self-proclaimed “comedy nerds” who can recite Louis-trivia all day. Louis ends up having to cancel his show, Fred and Carrie see him in a cafe the next day and get to the bottom of why he cancelled. They end up convincing Louis to have dinner with them. During dinner Louis wants to make “real human connections” with Fred and Carrie, while they’re more interested in testing out their own cringe-worthy comedy bits.

IFC has done a terrific job promoting the episode by posting 10 hilarious rare videos of Louis C.K. It’s everything from his first short films to a dog segment he did back when he was writing on Conan.

More recently Louis C.K. has been busy with his latest project Horace and Pete. Which is a new show that he’s producing, directing, writing, distributing and financing on his own. It has a star studded cast including: Steve Buscemi, Edie Falco, Alan Alda, Jessica Lange, Aidy Bryant, Steven Wright, Kurt Metzger and more. Episodes are available on his website for a nominal fee

For more about Louie, Portlandia, and this week’s episode (including some sage wisdom from guest star/director Steve Buscemi), tune in to Portlandia this Thursday, March 3 at 10pm ET/PT on IFC.
