Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

Got the Christmas lights up? Got that tree trimmed? Shopping done? If you have, then you deserve to lay back and enjoy some late night comedy. If you haven’t…watch some late night comedy anyway. No one’s gonna stop you.

Let’s get to this week’s highlights.

On Monday, comedy fans will want to tune in to the Tonight Show for an appearance by comedy icon Martin Short, who always makes sure his Tonight Show interviews are more performance than chat. Also on Monday, it’s the American national stand up debut for one of Canada’s hottest comics, Ivan Decker who will be performing on Conan. Ivan was recently part of the New York Comedy Festival’s Eighth Annual Comics to Watch showcase and this past summer, he was featured at the Colin Jost & Michael Che Gala at the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal.

Tuesday offers plenty of hysterical political commentary from an American original, D.L. Hughley on The Opposition with Jordan Klepper on Comedy Central. Also on Tuesday, stay up late or set your DVR so you don’t miss the very funny Michelle Wolf appearing on Late Night with Seth Meyers. Michelle will be promoting her debut stand up special, “Michelle Wolf: Nice Lady” which premieres Saturday, December 2nd on HBO with an encore presentation on Sunday night right after “Curb Your Enthusiasm“.

Thursday is packed with comedy. Anthony Atamanuik hosts a very Presidential Christmas special, entitled “I Came up With Christmas: A President Show Christmas” on Comedy Central. It’s gonna be huge. Then switch over to truTV for The Chris Gethard Show Season Finale with Chris’ guests Paul Scheer and Jason Mantzoukas at 11pm.

Friday, in a non-comedy highlight, Jimmy Kimmel Live welcomes the entire main cast from Star Wars: The Last Jedi including Mark Hamill, Andy Serkis, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley. Also on Friday, Stephen Colbert not only has Lewis Black, but he’s also booked the most influential living female comedian today, Carol Burnett, who will be talking about her upcoming CBS event, “The Carol Burnett 50th Anniversary Special” which airs Sunday, December 3rd at 8pm.
