Who’s on Late Night Tonight in Comedy?

The year is rapidly coming to a close, and the late night hosts are packing in some year-end comedy on their guest lists. Maybe they thought we all could use it. There’s something for everyone this week. Highlights include President Barack Obama visiting the Daily Show with Trevor Noah on Monday for one last time while he’s still in office, Obama that is, not Trevor Noah. Wednesday, Conan O’Brien is doing some self-promotion when he hosts the cast of “People of Earth”, the scripted comedy that Coco executive produces for TBS. On Thursday, there’s plenty of notable late night comedy happening. First, Rob Corddry returns to the Daily Show where he was once part of Jon Stewart’s “best fucking news team ever”. Also on Thursday, Andy Richter pulls double duty when he appears on Comedy Central’s @midnight at the same time that he’s side-kicking it on Conan on TBS. And America gets a taste of European comedy on Thursday when one of Europe’s most popular comics, Gad Elmaleh, appears on Colbert. Wrapping up the week, Saturday Night Live calls it a year with their last new episode of 2016.
