Kenan Thompson will reportedly make the 40th season of Saturday Night Live his last on the show. What’s up with that!?

According to TMZ, Kenan was ready to walk away from SNL last season, but executive producer Lorne Michaels asked him to stay for one more because of the show’s major cast overhaul this past year. It’s never a bad place to be in show business when you can do a favor for Lorne.  Kenan reportedly will be moving to L.A. after his final season with his wife and new baby and with possible plans for a new series.

Entering his 12th and last season, Kenan Thompson will be missed on the show. As will Charles Barkley, Cee-Lo Green, DeAndre Cole, Googie Rene, Jean K. Jean, DJ Dynasty Handbag, Jimmy “Rent’s Too High” McMillan, Lorenzo Macintosh, Randy Jackson, Steve Harvey and all the black female characters he’s refused to play anymore.
