Joan Rivers Receives Posthumous Grammy Nomination

The nominations were announced for the 57th annual Grammy Awards and the late Joan Rivers received a nod for Best Spoken Word Album. The comedy legend who passed away in September was nominated in the category for the audio version of her last book, “Diary of a Mad Diva”.

Joan’s competition for the Grammy Award include fellow nominees, James Franco for “Actors Anonymous”, Jimmy Carter for “A Call to Action”, John Waters’ “Carsick: John Waters Hitchhikes Across America”, U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren for A Fighting Chance” and Gloria Gaynor’s “We Will Survive: True Stories of Encouragement, Inspiration and the Power of Song.”

For best comedy album, the 2015 Grammy nominees are:

“Mandatory Fun” by Weird Al Yankovic

“Obsessed” by Jim Gaffigan

“Oh My God” by Louis C.K.

“Tragedy Plus Comedy Equals Time” by Patton Oswalt

“We Are Miracles” by Sarah Silverman

The 57th annual Grammy Awards ceremony is Sunday, February 8, 2015 on CBS.
