A funeral service was held for comedy legend Joan Rivers on Sunday at Temple Emanu-El on New York City’s Upper East Side.

Several of the late comedian’s friends were there to pay their last respects including Whoopi Goldberg, Barbara Walters, Joy Behar, Kathy Griffin, Kathie Lee Gifford, Hoda Kotb, Diane Sawyer, Rosie O’Donnell, Wanda Sykes, Jeffrey Ross, Judy Gold, Charlie Rose, Kristin Chenoweth, Kelly Osborne, Geraldo Rivera, Paul Shaffer, Bernadette Peters, Tommy Tune, Andy Cohen, Barry Diller, Donald Trump, Steve Forbes, Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick.

According to the New York Post’s Page Six, the funeral service included Broadway’s Audra McDonald singing “Smile”, the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus singing other hit songs from Broadway, a eulogy from Howard Stern, tributes from Deborah Norville, columnist Cindy Adams and Joan’s daughter, Melissa Rivers and Hugh Jackman singing at the end of the memorial followed by bagpipers from the New York City Police Department playing outside the temple while mourners left the service.

The funeral program reportedly included a page with 3 of Joan Rivers’ classic catchphrases printed out – “Can we talk?” ”Who are you wearing?” and “Because I’m a funny person.”

Hundreds of fans lined the sidewalks outside Temple Emanu-El to say good-bye to the icon.

Joan Rivers died Thursday at Mount Sinai Hospital, eight days after going into cardiac arrest during a throat procedure at a New York clinic.
